Quiet and adjusts washing time

This washer fits a large load of laundry easily, and washes well. It washes fairly quietly. When I first used it I was confused cause once I pressed starting button for the 3 second countdown the washer started but I didn™€™t hear it, so I kept pressing the start button unnecessarily. I love that once load starts it senses the time needed to wash and adjusted the time accordingly.

This machine and the matching electric dryer were purchased to replace a comparable Maytag set that survived approximately 13 years. Performance is ok, similar to the old set except for the following issues. Biggest gripe is that the machine sometimes cannot deal with a small load of towels (using TOWELS setting for two bath, two hand, four wash cloths) and it will not complete (final drain and spin) a cycle because it can™€™t balance the load. I have to pause, remove and hand wring the bath towels before reinserting them into the basket to resume the cycle to completion. Ridiculous. Also, the door latch is now made of plastic instead of metal. The catch/release tab on the detergent/bleach/softener dispenser is so flimsy that it™€™s about to snap completely off after six months normal use. I™€™m still suspicious of the 24/7 continuously glowing control panel lights and even though Maytag™€™s chat bot says it™€™s normal. I cannot accept that this will bode well for the future considering the eventual simple electronics failure of our last Maytag set.

This is a well built and solid machine that runs quietly. It seems to function good. The only disappointment is the lack of clear explanation of all of its features. Especially the controls and the differences in each of the cycle settings. Even the lack of clear explanations online. I am tech savy but still find myself wondering exactly how all the settings work. Needs to have clear, simple to understand instructions on its functions all on a single reference card.

Bad spacing for the controls

I ordered the washer and dryer to be stacked. The washer is so low that it™€™s hard for me to get the clothes out of it. The dryer controls are too high for me to read. I like the quiet running, but it takes a long time to wash a load of laundry. The dryer sometimes needs to run a second time, but that may be because I can™€™t see the settings and have it set wrong for the load. Overall, I™€™m not terribly happy with the set.

This is the WORST washing machine I have ever owned! It is 2 years old and has been serviced 3 times with trouble starting not longer I purchased with the control panel needing replacement. I am currently waiting to replace the control panel for the second time and need a new pump as well. Additionally, it is a poor design that you do not have access in the front to clean anything that may get clogged. You need a technician to come out anytime there is an issue. Also need to babysit this machine as it frequently gets stuck with 1 minute or 15 minutes left in the cycle. I read of others online with this same issue. It™€™s ironic because when I shut it off manually the load is actually done. Other times the load finishes on own but is soaked and needs addition drain and spin time. The amount of time and energy I have spent figuring out codes, phone calls and wait time with technicians and service calls and of course time and money spent at laundry mat when machine is down is infuriating. I™€™ll add in that I have houseguests and the wedding of my child this week, really not the time I want to be dealing with a broken washer™€¦ again!!! This is not the Maytag reputation of the past.

Does a very good cleaning job. Love the white cycle with bleach - works great. I haven't noticed improved stain removal but it's as good as my old kenmore. It's a little more noisy than my old washer which is important since my set is in the kitchen.

Violent spin cycle-drawers open on console

The spin cycle is violent and LOUD for about 15 seconds twice during the course of washing one load of laundry™€¦any size. The drawers of the bottom console open and the washing machine shakes back and forth like a cartoon. Despite the cycle force, the clothes are not spun as dry as you would like despite the speed of the cycle. My clothes take a bit longer to dry.

Not bad, but overpriced

My clothes always come out clean, however if you use the quick cycle for anything you then have to run a rinse and spin cycle after or your clothes are still pouring water out. Why even have a quick cycle if it doesn™€™t work? Also, the detergent tray sometimes will fill up with water and not release the water for several loads.

Machine cleans clothes just fine, but is noisier than our las t Samsung machine. You can hear it lind of shifting gears during parts of the cycle. Machine vibrates excessively even though level.

This is one of the most efficient washers I've had, which is why I decided to buy a new one when I moved to a new location. I'm impressed by its cleaning power without it being harsh on fabrics. In fact, the gentle cycle is amazing for delicate clothes. It's also super water efficient without compromising on cleaning power. I would highly recommend it!

keeps jumping around on floor when spinning. ready to screw to floor! washes ok but my wife was a laudress for 30 years and never seen this, lg we had never did that but its control panel went out so thought we try maytag. wrong decision

I am happy with the new Maytag washer and dryer. Only complaints I have are the cycle signal is not loud enough and the Normal cycle shakes the washer around too much. I have quit using it and use other cycles instead. It does a great cleaning job.

Seems to do a good job of getting clothes clean. No complaints, and the self-clean option at least feels effective. The spin cycle shakes pretty aggressively, especially when mounted on the matching pedestal. It moves the dryer next to it. Works well, though.

I order and recieved a status confirmation. recieved delivery date, recieved the date it was too be delivered. Waited all day, no call, no status email if it was Kaye or not coming. When I attempted to connect with anyone. No one was available, website said the order didn't exist. Extremely frustrating that they're is no one to speak to after hours when the delivery could be after hours. 0 points for customer service

This washer takes a very long time per load and leaks regularly. The leak happens as the rubber seal doesn™€™t tightly seal even when the washer locks to start, and even when the load is small and the temperate is cold, leaks a ton with anything sizeable (eg 2 bath towels) and any water temp above ™€œcold™€ - it™€™s ruining our floors.

This machine was purchased in 2022, from Home Depot as a direct replacement of a 10-year-old Whirlpool machine that could no longer be fixed by replacing parts. Unfortunately my setup at home requires that I stack my dryer on top of my washer. This is a problem for two reasons, one I have to remove the dryer in order to service the washer and two anyone who owns this model as to take apart the washing machine in order to access the pump clean out. The machine had been throwing the SD (suds) error code so I knew it was time to clean the pump out. When I finally got around to doing this and after I put the machine back together and attempted to run a cylce the MCB fried somehow. Unfortunately I did not know this at the time because I was not able to get the machine to enter service mode in order to draw the codes out. After years of service as a plumber, and the sounds the machine was making, I thought the problem was either the pump or cold water inlet module. So I replaced the pump, cold water inlet valve and door gasket, as I discovered when I removed the front panel of the machine the gasket had three tears in it which leaked water out onto my floor. After replacing the pump I was still getting the same problem and water was not coming into the machine. I then attempted to replace the cold water module last night. This did not work either. Finally using YouTube as the new Maytag Man I was able to enter the service mode after attempting the process at least a dozen times. This unfortunately gave me the error code that the MCB is the problem. Now I have to wait for the MCB to arrive. So, between what I have spent on parts (which according to Maytags website I cannot return as I have installed them) and trips to the laundromat I should have just bought a new washing machine from a competitor because Maytag is garbage. I am so very disappointed in this brand and the parent company for selling complete garbage (partaking in DEI practices) and ruining the good name of Maytag. I will NEVER buy another Maytag product.

I have hated this washer from day one. It is extremely loud, it has an ear piercing grind, a spinning cycle that sounds like a Tesla in motion. It has no filter so all you the lint sticks to the clothes being washed. The quick cycle doesn™€™t spin the clothes well, so I have to use the dryer longer. These are the worst of its problems.

I hate this washer. Worst purchase I™€™ve ever made. I™€™ve had it for 2 years and am looking at new ones. There are crevices inside the rubber seal that small items get stuck in, and dirt and pet hair build up in. I have to clean my washer after every single load I do. And worse, it won™€™t spin half the time. It spins very slowly and leaves my clothes soaked and dripping. I have to pull all the dripping wet clothes out and rearrange them and spin them again, and even that doesn™€™t work half the time. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Not worth the money

We have had issues with the washer not doing final spin cycles at all. We have to run the drain and spin cycles every time we use it. And the rinse cycles do not rinse soap out of the clothes without running the extra rinse cycle making a run of the washer over 2 hours for even the small loads. Terrible!
