bought a Bosch Benchmark Series 36 in. Induction Cooktop in Black with 5 Burner Elements, a year and 3 months the middle burner has quit working on anything but smallest burner.. $1,900 to repair. will probably NOT buy another Bosch appliance.

We are extremely happy about this cook top and especially appreciate the flex-zone and power output it provides. The operation is logical and straight forward. Have not experimented with Auto-Chef feature yet. The Energy consumption displaed after turned off is also very useful. It will be even better of a history of usage data abailable in the app. One feature missing from my wish list is the ability of power-off timer for each zone, which we liked very much when used a Bosch model in the Netherlands. The Home Connect app is very useful. It makes changing settings a easy task.

My wife and I purchased the cooktop for our kitchen renovation. We are new to induction cooking. The tools and resources provided by Bosch on induction cooking have been fabulous. The initial usage of the stove has been better than we had expected. We love the speed with with it heats the pans plus the fact that the cooking surface around the pans is cool to the touch. The flat cooktop provides a sleek look agains our white counter tops. We paired the cooktop with a Bosch retractable down draft which too is wonderful. We will definitely recommend Bosch to our friends.

We recently needed to replace our GE Induction Cooktop due to a crack. We actually initially replaced with another GE Cooktop but found that the size was too small for the space althought the measurements online were exactly the measurements of the one we had. We ended up going with the Bosch Induction Cooktop instead and it has so far not disappointed! We were able to install it ourselves and it fit perfectly into the space.

Just received my 36' Benchmark cooktop the other day. Chose this model for the flex zones which I have yet to try out. Controls are simple. Design is clean and sleek. Need to get used to the settings as the lower power options don't seem to heat anything. Yes, it boils water fast using the boost setting. And, like all Bosch products, the WIFI connectivity is a JOKE. Cannot stay connected and insultingly limited functionality. Why bother putting it in if you don't design an actual control app that works?

Works great!! Took a few times of use to get a feel for power of the various level of precise temp differences. Now at looking to get a griddle so I can use various flex cooking!! The center cooking area is the most widely used area by the family!! Clean up is great, a few wipes with a sponge and spray for cleaning induction tops and it looks great. Glad a made the shift from gas to induction!!

The good: Quiet, works with Bosch hood, turns it on/off automatically. No annoying beeps. The bad: 1. Scratched after 2-3 weeks of usage, no idea what scratched it - VERY disappointing. All my pans have smooth bottoms and the cooktop cleaned after each cooking session. 2. The countup timer only displays seconds for the first minute, then switches to minutes. 3. I would prefer to have outlined zones where the heating elements are. 4. The controls are not responsive with wet fingers. 5. It turns off itself if no pan present after a minute or so. This is somewhat annoying; there is no reason to shut down completely after a minute of no usage. Simply turning off the heating element and shutting down after 5 minutes or so would be sufficient. I don't think you can adjust that setting in the app.

Sleek Cooktop

My husband selected this cooktop for its clean lines and efficient cooking controls. I would prefer a more traditional gas stove with open flame. This cooktop takes time to learn how to proper use it. The pan can't be lifted to mix the food from the cooktop or it will shut off, and the pan must be hold firmely while stirring the food for it to remain in place. It is more difficult to control the temperature of the food. The cooktop musk be cleaned soon after it is cool; otherwise, it is easily stained leaving marks in the glass. The advantage of this induction cooktop is fast cooking time if using the "speed boost" setting.

I was used to gas cooktop and a bit concerned when i realize my new apartment didn't have gas line. however this inductoin cooktop has exceeded my expection. its fast and sleek, i was surprised how fast water boils. i really like the flexible combination of the burners, very varsitile. love it a lot. much much better than any other electric top stove i used in airbnbs or friend's place. the only thing is that its on the pricer side. but very happy with the upgrade.

This is a great induction cooktop! Easy to install, use, and clean. Buttons on the front are easy to use and not prone to accidental touch. Inductions make a high pitched sound when on, but after using it a few times we hardly notice it, and it's much quieter than others.

We've had this cooktop for about a year now and would absolutely buy it again. We are serious about our cooking and usually prefer gas, but the design of the house didn't lend itself to a large vent hood. Excellent temperature control and responsiveness. Ability to join sections into one larger surface is more useful than I initially thought.

This is my first time using an Induction cooktop. I have been a gas stove user my entire life and swore I would never use anything else. We decided to get this cooktop to be more environmental friendly and within the first few days using the cooktop, I am a lifer! The cooktop is so easy to use, so fast to boil water and heat pans, so easy to clean not just the cooktop but all my dishes. When using a gas stove, my pans always got a browning layer underneath the food that needed to be scrubbed .. not anymore! I love the kitchen time setting as well. Food tastes so much better as the entire experience of cooking is different!

I purchased this stove top and was happy with it ever since. The cooking surface is large enough for every meal and I have no concerns of noise. Unfortunately I had to buy a whole new cookware set made for induction, but all the more reason to get the Demeyere Atlantis set that I've been eyeing for a while. The stove and those pots seem like they were made for each other. It only takes a few seconds to heat up to temp and it's easy to clean up. Once again, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who's in the market for a heat induction cook top. You won't be disappointed.

I am not convinced it is all that great!

Ours has been installed for three months now and I don't like it at all! With the correct cookware we still find that the cooktop is noisy, and equal heating of pots and pans is a challenge. It is the equal heating that bothers me most, my wife seems to like and is adapting to it. I find myself moving my castiron pan around in order to cook my eggs evenly. I also have not seen the big advantages either. So the surface cools down faster - was that a real issue before? My water boils faster - did I need it too? I have to give it two stars at this point - additional cost for cookware, noisy, and uneven heating. I would trade it in a minute for gas or even standard flat surface electric cooktop. Blah!!
