Efficient Dryer

This is my first LG dryer and it performs superior to my previous Whirlpool and Maytag dryers It generally dries everything on first go unless its bedding and you have too much of it. Still dries much more efficiently than previous dryers which took 2-3 runs to get my clothes bedding towels to dry. The LG dryer also captures a lot more pet hair in the lint cleaner compared to my previous dryers too.

Dryer sheets get stuck in the underside of the vent inside the drum. When doing bulky bedding you have to run two full cycles and make sure you take out the items and the wet part is on the outer part or it wont dry.

I purchased this product 2 1/2 months ago. First delivery scheduled they couldnt install because it was defective. They rescheduled delivery for 2 weeks later. Got a call two days before delivery saying it was delayed again. The dryer delivery was delayed 5 times. Was told when I purchased all three items they were in stock. Very disappointing experience with LG

I bought this product almost a month and half ago. I was told the item was in stock. Two months and 1 week later I finally received the dryer. The first delivery date I was told the dryer was defective and they had to take it back. Got a new delivery date of 2 weeks later. the day before delivery date I got another call saying it had been delayed again. this happened five times until it was finally delivered. I was offered no type of offer of another dryer or anything. I was told to call Home Depot and hoe depot told e it was LGs fault. The whole process was beyond frustrating.

Do NOT buy directly from LG.com. I just received an email from LG asking me to rate this dryer that began with Now that youve had some time to enjoy your new dryer. The trouble is I havent. The entire delivery installation and follow up customer service has been the worse I have ever encountered. The delivery and installation was originally supposed to be on 12/27. On the evening of 12/26 I received an email from the 3rd party logistics company saying delivery was delayed and to call to reschedule. I called and the 3rd logistics company said they hadnt received the item. I called LG and they said it had shipped but had no way to track where it was. FedEx and UPS can tell me where the smallest package currently is but LG apparently has no way to tell where a large dryer is currently located. I had to call 3rd party logistics company back and reschedule and hope for the best. It was rescheduled for 1/3 because they only deliver on Wednesdays in my area. The washer and dryer were delivered on 1/3 but they did not bring the dryer vent I had paid for installation on both so couldnt install. The 3rd party said to call LG. I called LG and they said call the 3rd party logistics company. This back and forth went on for a while until someone from the 3rd party called in response to how I answered their survey. She was wonderful and arranged for someone to come install dryer the next day. During my calls with LG I had requested to speak to a supervisor and was told it would be 24-48 hours for a supervisor to contact me. So on 1/4 the tech comes to install the dryer and when plugged in immediately blows the circuit. He tells me is either circuit or bad dryer and he has no way to tell. It is a brand new home so I call builder and he sends electrician on 1/4. The circuit is fine so dryer is bad. Time to call LG customer service again. My previous calls to their CS line the calls were slightly garbled but on this day the calls were extremely garbled and unable to really tell what was being said without a lot of repeating and telling the rep to speak slowly. Maybe every 5th word could be understood. The rep goes thru his call response grid putting me on hold several times to speak to experts and then tells me I have to call LG service and he would transfer me. It was a cold transfer and I had to start from the beginning again. He informs me I need to speak to online sales CS and request replacement dryer and he would transfer me another cold transfer. The only positive of the LG service CS was the call was clear. Back to online sales CS and another extremely garbled call. I explained what service had said and she insisted on going thru her call response grid putting me on hold twice to speak to experts and then says I need to call LG service. I had to once again repeat I had already done that. Put on hold again and then comes back on to say will process replacement. Then goes on to say I need to agree to terms and conditions of replacement but do to garbled line couldnt understand what those terms and conditions were. I finally just agreed to them without knowing what they were. I once again requested supervisor and was told it would be 24-48 hours to speak to supervisor even though the original 48 hours had passed with no call. The rep was unable to tell me when this replacement dryer was coming. I finally received a call from supervisor on 1/6. All she wanted to do was say I apologize. She couldnt tell me when replacement would come. When I asked if she wanted to hear about my experience with her company she actually said No I can read the notes. At this point I stated I wanted to return both the washer and dryer and she informed me there would be a restocking fee on the washer. I told her that was unacceptable and requested manager. She informed me it would be 24-48 hours to hear back from manager. So I still have no ability to do laundry. The call with supervisor the line was slightly better but still garbled. It was 72 hours before I received the call from the supervisor. If the supervisors and managers are this overloaded I must not be the only one receiving poor customer service from them. I would still probably buy LG appliances but would NEVER buy directly from LG. I usually buy from Best Buy and their delivery and installation is always flawless and free with their membership program. At this point I told the supervisor if I dont hear back from a manager by 1/8 I would have no choice but to protest the charge with my credit card company as they had not provided what I had paid for.
