Mostly fine, with frustrating lack of LED light

for the most part, i'm very happy with the refrigerator -- i like the counter depth, the water filter lasts about 6 months for a family of 3, and the shelves are laid out thoughtfully (although i would have liked to see a mid-level snack tray in the refrigerator). but there is one very baffling and extremely frustrating issue with this model -- there is no lighting whatsoever in the water/ice dispenser alcove, which means it's very difficult to see what you're doing. this can often result in either water or ice being spilled on the floor. i attached some adhesive battery-operated led lights with motion sensors which help a bit, but there is really no excuse for a refrigerator at this price point to not have a built-in led light for the water/ice dispenser.

i really loved this refrigerator. it was delivered on 12/2/20 and on 12/3/21 the compressor died. i have tried and tried to work with samsung and they refuse to fix it because they do not have anyone certified for repairs in my area. this refrigerator lasted exactly one year and one day. so disappointed

beautiful fridge but 8/4/2021

delivery from lowe's was fine except missing a fridge section shelf. literally took a dozen phone calls to lowe's and months but they got me the shelf. we're part time residents so didn't notice at first but within first year sometime, lower two shelves in fridge section are freezing food. have raised to 40 and 41 deg and still freezes. made service request to samsung w/in warranty period - their service provider came out and replace the back panel inside fridge and set to 37 deg. a few days later more food frozen. i set to 40 deg and still food is freezing. we're losing track of cost of food ruined. i've put in another service request - if they can't fix it this time i want my money back. come get the fridge if you can't fix it.

after the first one was retired, we bought this new one. it fits into our narrow, galley kitchen. for two retired people, it has space enough for our fresh food needs. the ice maker and water dispenser in the door are very much appreciated, especially in summer. temperature controls are easy to understand. the newly restyled door system eliminated the wide, sticking out handles on the older model. the stainless steel surface really does resist fingerprints.

Good counter depth frigidaire. Like that does not have a handle to stick out. It should have a night lite though at the water dispenser and the shelfs should be adjustable but has enough room inside.

WARANTY STICKER NIGHTMARE

i was so excited when i got home to see my new refrigerator. it looks great and it was already plugged in by the installers. unfortunately it has an unsightly black 10-year warranty sticker on the front of the refrigerator. i tried to peel it back with my fingernail but it didn't budge. i looked at pictures online and none of the pictures showed this sticker so i tried removing it some more. this horribly ugly sticker seem to be a permanent fixture to the front face of the refrigerator. i finally got it off but there was a permanent glue residue left. like an idiot i got my kitchen sponge with scour pad and tried to take off the glue with some dish soap and totally scratched my brand new refrigerator.

We love the panel on the inside right wall where we can adjust temperature, turn ice on an off, etc... This is my 2nd Samsung refrigerator. My first was a counter-depth, side-by-side with the preview door on the frighted side, loved this refrigerator unfortunately Samsung no loner offers this model. The new one get purchased is an excellent replace for the previous model very happy. For a 22 cu. ft. very space efficient, the wifi integration is easy to setup and provides me direct alerts if a door is left open and with kids this is a great feature. One improvement for be a more robust ice maker, my view it's too small.

this refrigerator is very spacious for a counter depth model. holds lots of food in freezer and refrigerator and cools evenly. my only gripe is that there is no water/ice dispenser light. because of the pandemic, we bought this refrigerator sight unseen. i was thinking maybe it was hidden or burned out so i called samsung support and even the samsung representative said there should be a light so she scheduled an appointment. so when the samsung technician arrived and took the part out of the box, same part and no light. even the technician was surprised as this was the first refrigerator he worked on with no dispenser light. every refrigerator i have had since the 1970s had a dispenser light. paying over $1k for a refrigerator with no dispenser light, cmon samsung, not cool.

It looks very nice. Fit my limited space perfect. Easy to reach everything. The delivery and installation with XPO is very good. The temperature settings is not accurate. With the original settings the installation person did for me frig 37 freezer 0, veg and eggs frozen. I set to frig 43 and freezer -1 within several adjustments, now it is perfect. I could not use the SmartThings because my cell phone has only 1.9G ram. I may have to upgrade my phone.

Bought new at Best Buy and it is a piece of JUNK. Horrible purchase. The ice maker does make ice... one tray every 6-7 hours! It is ab out 6 weeks old and we are awaiting our 3rd service call. The previous two accomplished nothing; nothing at all. We are so frustrated and angry. It is around 100 degrees everyday in Texas and we are tired of buying ice because our new Samsung refrigerator, which is supposed to make a tray every 45 minutes will only church out 3-4 trays evety 24 hours. I have tried to call Samsung over 20 times - I even sent them a screenshot of all the calls, but I just get people from overseas that get nothing done. We are very satisfied with our big Samsung flat screen TV, but this refrigerator wins the "Worst Choice Award" for refrigerator purchases.

i was so excited to get a new fridge and really thought this was great when it first showed up. then, i realized that counter depth is meaningless. i have to remove my cabinets so get it to fit. it was the same size as my other fridge but you couldn't open the doors because of the design. it was so pretty and then, i realized that it is much smaller on in the inside. there isn't as much space as you think there is. the worst of all of this and i am really angry about is that it is ruining my food! you can't make the temp in the fridge any higher than 40 degrees. everything is freezing! lettuce is ruined! this product has caused more problems than it is worth. buy something else!!!

good value in a basic level fridge. drawers and shelves are pretty much non adjustable. as other reviews note, the ice maker is slow to cycle. fridge wouldn't fill the ice container overnight. not a problem for small households not using a lot of ice though. great minimalist design with door handles hidden from view. like the fact that the stainless steel is magnetic, our old lg wasn't.; couldn't put magnets on the front of that old fridge. not sure how useful the wifi app will be. i tend to be a set and forget type of fridge user.

I was very excited when I received my new refrigerator. One of the coolest thing is the finger print resistance - you can hardly see any prints and it's so easy to wipe off. I enjoy the all around cooling and the in case ice maker. I made a big bowl of punch and needed lots of ice, it was so awesome when I just removed the in case ice maker and added the ice I needed. The adjustable shelves are awesome, just slide and adjust. I am also impressed with the amount of space this refrigerator has - the gallon sized door shelves. I give Samsung a thumbs up for a well organized and designed fridge.

Gorgeous Fridge

I received my Samsung side by side refrigerator a few days ago. The set up/installation was so easy, and uncomplicated. Actually a breeze. Things I love about this fridge is the design, it is so sleek and pretty. It makes the rest of my kitchen look even better. It is so spacious and holds more than my last fridge. The ice/water station is simple and easy. The filtered water is delicious. I absolutely how easy it is to wipe off fingerprints, which you will see because it's so new, but a quick wipe down and they are gone. It keeps fruit and veggies absolutely the freshest tasting. The lighting inside is great, no struggle to see anything. I love that the fridge is energy efficient obviously for something that runs 24/7. Absolutely will recommend this fridge to everyone I can.

Im very happy with my samsung fridge. Best purchase yet. Where do I start. Let's start with the delivery. With the pandemic everywhere, I pondered whether I was even still interested in receiving my Samsung fridge. So the deliver day came. To the exact detail the delivery men followed every instruction super great and very courteous. I asked for my new fridge to be left by my door. I was completely overwhelmed by it's size. Once the unwrapping was completed it was time to push the refrigerator into the apartment. First thing i noticed was, the ease to moved this huge appliance. I was able to pivit the fridge into the apartment and i easily push into the kitchen. This applicance added a fresh modern look to our entire kitchen. I love the sleek design and recessed handles. I love the digital display function super easy to figure out and use. Having a 4 year old boy who gets himself into everything, the locking features are fantastic. I rather enjoy the water and Ice dispenser feature. It makes adding ice to my morning coffee fun. The two minute built in alarm is helpful especially when my son leaves the refrigeratoer door open. The first time this happened i was like why is the fridge beeping? I can't beleive this samsung Fridge comes with a a 10 year warranty. Samsung this refrigerator far passes my expecation.

My wife just receive this fridge today never thought that color would go good with the rest of the kitchen but it did. We plug the fridge in started running very quiet, it looks like it can hold all of our things for that we have from the old fridge. The drawers are perfect for my toddler son to easily get into the fridge. My favorite feature of this fridge is the flex drawer where I can put things in flat like a cake without having any problems , it was easy for it to slide out. I also like that it has more space in the freezer area that I can put more things in.

Beautiful and spacious

I love my new Samsung fridge. It is beautiful and spacious. My family and I recently purchased land and are building a new home and this fridge is perfect. I love the color and overall design. It fits perfectly flush with our counters and with the handles being recessed instead of on the front of the doors it really looks sleek. I also like how much room is in the door. A gallon of milk and tea can easily fit in one of the bins. The adjustable top shelf is so handy, I no longer struggle to find a place for hard to fit items and it makes organizing much easier. I have two rowdy boys and am happy to say that the fingerprint resistance feature really works, I was impressed. It is fantastic fridge!

Sleek and quiet

Most the time a refrigerator purchase is limited to what's affordable in your price range and you have to live with what you get. There's not much that has changed in refrigeration technology from when I bought my first one 40 years ago. Essentially they all do the same thing, keep your food cold. I've seen trends come and go with all sorts of designs and weird features. This refrigerator however keeps everything classic, but gives it a modern twist. Not many people are into side by side these days, but after experience with top and bottom, and french door, side-by-side is what I feel fits my needs best in regards to accessing my food quickly. The door handles are hidden which gives this a sleek look. The ice maker makes ice, the water dispenser dispenses it. It does everything it needs to and it does it gracefully. There's no loud machines whirring or shaking. It runs super quiet which was a must for us as we live in a smaller space with an open concept floor plan. The 10 year warranty on the compressor gives us peace that our investment is going to last as well. I had a small issue which samsung support quickly addressed so you know you have the backing of one of the best and biggest companies in the game right now. Bottom line, if you're looking for side-by-side, you will be hard pressed to find anything better than this refrigerator.

So purchased this refrigerator for husband man cave, currently basement is being remodeled to add bar and the refrigerator will be near the bar area. I'm liking the refrigerator and the space it provides. The size and space is actually what needed and I like the fact that its fingerprints resistance and has lots of storage space. Remodeled pictures with Refrigerator to be added when finish . So just finished having the line installed for my refrigerator and very pleased with the setup and currently discovering the use of it.

I am in love with my new refrigerator. I love the modern, space-saving look and how much room the fridge has. The fingerprint-resistant finish is great for keeping a clean look. The lighting is the perfect amount and it illuminates all areas of the fridge and freezer. The all around cooling covers every area of the fridge and freezer. The control panel is easily accessible and easy to use. The adjustable shelves are great and I love the extra wide door shelves that fit gallons of milk or 2 liters of soda. I like the drawer in the freezer to keep smaller items in. It also flashes and dings when the door is left open too long. The in-door dispenser is easy to select from water, cubed ice, or crushed ice. I have been raving about this fridge to my friends and family.

Best Counter Depth Samsung Refrigerator

When looking to update our old 19-year-old refrigerator to a new one, I was able to find a new Samsung Counter Depth Stainless Steel refrigerator that was bigger and more efficient than my old one. The new Samsung refrigerator has the standard water and ice available from the outside of the fridge. I can barely hear any noise when the unit is running and when it dumps a fresh batch of ice. The inside of the refrigerator was much bigger than I expected and there are plenty of shelves along with spaces on the door to fit all of my regular groceries and more. I can finally see everything organized in a well lit and cool environment. I like the fact that you can set the digital temperature for the freezer and the refrigerator and also activate a power cool to help with faster circulation of air. You can also turn on the door open alarm so that it beeps when a door has been left open. It is a good reminder when I take too much time to and can save more energy by closing the doors faster. I am happy to have such a well-built unit from Samsung and would recommend this unit to my friends, family, and coworkers without any hesitation.

Sleek Samsung Refrigerator

I am very pleased with our new Samsung refrigerator. It looks amazing on the outside with straight, clean edges. And the inside is very bright with well designed, easy to clean compartments. We selected the counter depth refrigerator because our kitchen is not big. And I am so glad we did: it fits the space nicely without feeling overpowering. Yet, it is quite spacious. Our old fridge was packed with food and, after transferring all of it to the new Samsung fridge, there is plenty of room left. Functionality wise, I enjoy how quiet and well insulated it is. The power freeze feature is also very convenient after a grocery trip with frozen goods on a hot day. Finally, the water and ice dispenser are the icing on the cake.

We are so in love with our new Samsung Refrigerator. It is sleek and modern. Even the lighting inside gives it a bright and clean look and feel. Works like a dream and has tons of space in both the refrigerated side and the freezer side. The ice maker capacity is large as well and refills quickly and quietly. The counter depth doesn?t take away from the inside capacity space at all. It helps to give our kitchen the appearance of more room because it fits perfectly even with our standard counters. The controls are high tech but easy to work and understand. It has many ammunition and options for settings. Every control is equipped with a child lock so we don?t have to worry about our three year old changing the settings without us knowing.. They thought of everything with the design of this refrigerator. This refrigerator comes with a 10 year warranty in covered parts so we feel secure that this appliance will last us. If you are looking for a. New refrigerator we highly recommend this one. It is the best refrigerator we?ve ever purchased.

We Love Our Samsung Refrigerator

We received our new Samsung 22 cu. ft. refrigerator last week and have been absolutely thrilled with it! Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic, it was a welcome sight when it arrived. The delivery guys were very friendly and did an amazing job installing the new one and taking out the old one. I think they were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Our first reaction was to the sleekness of the design. All the door handles are recessed so that there is nothing protruding from the doors?even the water/ice dispenser. One of the first things I did was to check the fingerprint resistant finish. It did not let me down. We have four kids so there are many fingers that touch the doors each day. It is nice not to constantly wipe the fingerprints off. After installation we ran the power cool and power freeze cycles for around 3 hours until we were able to put our groceries back in. The installers suggested making ice and dumping it out around 3 times before using the ice and pouring out a glass of water every so many hours for a day until the water was flushed through the system. We did this and the ice and water are working exactly as expected. My wife especially likes the fact that we can choose between crushed ice and cubed. One of the best features is the capacity of the door bins. With 4 kids, we go through a lot of milk so we always have multiple gallons on hand each day not to mention the bottles of various fruit juices and sodas. We actually found ourselves with some extra room. Speaking of room, the top shelf can adjust so that we can put the larger bottles up there too. With 22 cubic feet of space between the freezer and refrigerator sides, there is more than enough room for all of our snacks and groceries. Another feature that has already been tested over the past few days is the door alarm. After 2 minutes of being open the refrigerator lets out an audible alarm. There is an option of turning this feature off, but we definitely will never. Overall, this is the our very first brand new refrigerator and we are not disappointed. In the future, we will definitely put Samsung on the top of our list. I definitely and whole heartedly recommend the Samsung RS22T5201SR/AA to everyone.

Coolest fridge

I absolutely love it! Biggest fridge I have ever had so much room in the door can put gallons in there.even the really oddly shaped gallons fit. It has a digital reading of the temperature which I love. My milk is always the perfect temperature. The ice machine is actually pretty quiet while making ice and you can remove the entire tub if you want which is cool. It cubes and crushes ice and the water is perfectly chilled. So much space in the freezer as well and big door shelves I like for bagged veggies. The draws on the bottom are unique the have a little flap on the top that opens up when you pull the draw to make it more accessible to reach the stuff in the back of the draw. It is a very sharp looking fridge, I am not sure about the fingerprint resistant part but maybe i just have super sweaty hands. Way better then the last white one i had in comparison to fingerprints they are not at all noticeable. The door handles are inside between the doors and the seal is very good. Just dont open both doors at the same time will pinch your finger.
